Adorable Claire

I was attempting to get my children to help pick up the house yesterday. Claire unleashed a bunch of comments about how she didn't want to pick up. The word "stupid" was used several times. I said, "Claire, lets be positive and not talk negatively about everything." Claire responded, "Mom, I positively don't want to clean up the house."

Claire and ballet

Claire and I went to the ballet last night. Ron's firm gave us 4 free tickets. We took Claire's friend Madison and her Mom (Claire and Madison go to the same ballet class--they're in our ward) Claire's ballet teacher was there. We stayed for the first set. Heidi and I had some doubts about the appropriateness of the next set (based on the description "post modern love duet" and a picture on the program cover) so we left and went to get ice cream. We had a great time!

Ron lighting the candles on my finished birthday cake. This work of art used 4 cake mixes to make 8 layers and 5 tubs of frosting. He was up until 3 am making it last night. It was delicious! I guess I'll be having some friends over tomorrow to help me finish it up...
